Fiddlesticks, a string ensemble from the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, performed at Central School on Friday, February 10th, to the delight of students and staff alike. They brought all the members of the string family: the violin, the viola, the cello, and the double bass, and they performed music from several different composers. Students tried to identify the animals different composers were portraying with their music; one was the swan, one was the mosquito! They learned about musical pieces with repetitive phrases called rondos, and one student even got to try out the violin!! Many thanks to Mrs. Daigneault and the Vermont Symphony Orchestra for bringing Fiddlesticks to Central School!
